Committee Slate

Letter from Helena Kennedy, Undersecretary-General, Committee Affairs

Dear Delegates,

It is my absolute honour and pleasure to welcome you to the 38th iteration of the McGill Model United Nations Assembly! McMUN has been a formative part of my university experience, and I am incredibly excited and grateful to be part of giving you all the best possible experience at McMUN 2027.

I’d also like to take the opportunity to introduce the rest of Team Committees: our Deputy of General Assemblies and ECOSOCS Gopika Wright (she/her), our Deputy of Specialized Committees Adrian Yehia (he/him), and our Deputy of Crisis Committees Zoe Ley (she/her). They have created a truly exceptional committee slate that will serve as the backdrop for stimulating debate during your McMUN experience. I highly encourage all of you to take a look at McMUN 2027’s committee slate, as we sincerely hope that each of you finds a committee you are truly excited to compete in.

As I write this, Team Committees is hard at work developing the topics you see on the website into the committee experience you know and love. More than anything, McMUN prides itself on the dedication, passion, and skill of the dais and staffers who moderate debate each year. From fantastical ancient Babylon, to futuristic Africa and to the return of our Ad-Hoc General Assembly, our daises are ready to give you an unforgettable McMUN experience.

If you have any questions about our slate, McMUN’s rules of procedure, or any other committee-related topics, please do not hesitate to reach out! I can’t wait to watch your diplomatic skill and creativity come to life this January, and I hope that enjoy McMUN 2027!

Best regards,
