Financial Information for McMUN 2026
The McMUN 2027 Secretariat is looking forward to welcoming you in Montreal for the 38th iteration of our conference! This page outlines key dates and information regarding registration fees for delegates, delegation fees, hotel fees, and financial aid processes.
Registration Fees
All participants in McMUN will be required to pay the delegate and delegation fee. The delegate fee is calculated per attending delegate, and the delegation fee is a flat-charge for each attending delegation. Prices are quoted in Canadian dollars and do not include sales tax.
PER Delegate AND DELEGATION FeeS
This year, McMUN will offer three different tiers of registration fees as outlined below. These tiers are based on the date of registration. These rates are calculated for each attending delegate and include attendance to our Saturday Social event, McParté.
Priority Registration: June 15th, 2026 - August 31st, 2026 @ 11:59 PM (EST)
Delegate Fee: $135 CAD
Delegation Fee: $80 CAD
Regular Registration: September 1st, 2026 - November 28th 2026 @ 11:59 PM (EST)
Delegate Fee: $145 CAD
Delegation Fee: $80 CAD
Waitlist Registration: December 1st, 2025 - Rolling
Delegate Fee: $155 CAD
Delegation Fee: $100 CAD
Individual delegates pay $40 CAD for their delegation fee across all registration tiers.
Refund Policy
The deadline to request a refund on your McMUN 2026 registration payment(s) is December 1st, 2026 at 11:59PM (EST). To do so please reach out to our USG Finance at finance@mcmun.org.
Important Notice for International delegations/delegates
If you foresee that your delegation or someone in your delegation will require more more detailed documentation from McMUN 2027 to apply for a travel visa to enter Canada please reach out to chargee@mcmun.org as soon as possible.
Please note that while payments from abroad on invoices issued in CAD is usually possible, invoices can also be issued in USD when requested by email to finance@mcmun.org. In such cases, invoices will be issued at a fixed exchange rate of 0.74 CAD to USD (this rate remains subject to change) and face different handling fees than the CAD invoices as a result of alternative payment processing systems. Requests submitted close to payment deadlines do not guarantee payment extensions and do not exempt your delegation from late fees.
Hotel Fees
Delegates who are staying at the Sheraton will receive advantageous pricing rates as outlined below. This amount will be paid directly to the Sheraton following registration, and reservations must be made to the hotel prior to December 15th, 2026. Conference registration is only finalized once this booking has been confirmed. Delegates also have the option to opt-out of staying at the Sheraton, and associated fees are listed below.
Traditional guest rooms (single/double): $228 CAD per night
Traditional guest rooms (triple): $234 CAD per night
Traditional guest rooms (quadruple): $240 CAD per night

Opt-out Fee
The opt-out fee is charged to delegates attending the conference who are not staying at the Sheraton. This year, the opt-out fee amounts to $50 CAD per night per delegate. Delegates coming from schools located in Montreal can be exempt from this fee. For more information please contact chargee@mcmun.org.
Financial Assistance
McMUN prides ourselves on our various initiatives to improve accessibility for all to attend our conference. Starting this year, we are expanding upon our financial aid options, by providing delegation-wide invoice discounts.
McMUN is proud to offer a record value of financial support for McMUN 2027. Invoice discounts are offered to delegations originating from Canada, the United States, or abroad based on merit. This year we will be offering two waves of Delegation-Wide Financial Assistance. Applicants will have suspended invoice due dates until decisions are released at the end of each wave. Discounts apply only to the per-delegate fee. To apply, fill out the form provided in your registration confirmation email or contact our Chargée d’Affaires, Ishita Kumar, at chargee@mcmun.org.
McMUN Newcomer Financial Aid Program
Any delegation that has not attended McMUN in the past two years is eligible and encouraged to apply early. Applications from institutions outside of Canada and the U.S. will be looked upon favourably. Individual delegations are not eligible for the Newcomer program.
