Fyre Festival 2.0: Executive Planning Committee
The Fyre Festival is notorious, known for its poor planning, fraud, and unmet expectations. The luxury music festival, created by Billy McFarland and Ja Rule, was scheduled to take place in the spring of 2017, on the Bahamian island of Great Exuma. Issues related to security, venue, food, accommodation, and more, arose. The festival turned into a complete PR nightmare, culminating in Hulu and Netflix’s scathing documentaries.
However, this is not the end of the Fyre story.
Delegates will be serving as the Board of Directors for Fyre Festival 2.0, where they are tasked with the impossible: organize and execute a successful luxury music festival. While the planning is crucial, to pull of a successful event, the Board must consider repairing - or completely reimagining - the brand image of Fyre Festival. As well, fierce competition has emerged, vying for the position of the most popular music festival.
Organizing the festival will be no small feat. Delegates must not only improve from the last iteration of the festival, but must create a sustainable event and brand. The goal is to have the world not remember the first edition, but the promising and refreshing Fyre Festival 2.0.
The background guide and character list will become available soon.
