A Letter From Your Secretary General
Dear Prospective Delegates,
Ranked the fourth most competitive conference, the third largest on the North American circuit, and the best in Canada, McMUN has established itself as the standard for professionalism, provocative and substantive debate, and impeccable organization over 21 years. The successes of our past have continuously forced us to hold ourselves to higher standards. Thus, we can guarantee a greater experience every year, no more so for McMUN 2012.
At McMUN 2012, delegates will be faced with novel committees and unique issues that will expand the horizons of the MUN mindset. We have worked hard to perfect the balance between being firmly grounded in the intellectual and academic merits inherent in simulating international, regional, governmental and third-party bodies, while providing adequate scope to challenge the most experienced delegates in unexpected ways. With this in mind, 24 committees have been chosen to most accurately reflect the dynamic international system, and bring to light the relevant pressing issues of today and tomorrow.
By staying true to the changing realities of the international system, McMUN has created a reputation of being the vanguard of innovation and progress on the MUN Circuit. Whether this manifests in groundbreaking committees such as the IAEA and the NGO-Forum, or the Leadership Luncheons and Head Delegate Cocktails that are focused on fostering a greater sense of community - McMUN is where new things happen.
With this knowledge, I cordially invite you to join us in magical Montreal from January 26th to the 29th, 2012 for the 22nd installment of the McGill Model United Nations Assembly. Experience another chapter of McMUN’s legacy of provocative debate, tangible experiences and substantive innovation.
Regards,
Niranand Kumar
Secretary General
